Malibu Politicians Ploy for Corrupt Land-Grab in the Name of Homeless

They came for Venice, and now they’re coming for the shores of Malibu. Once-upon-a-time, Malibu thrived as an upscale beach town with a rural appeal. The City Council circus run by City Manager Reva Feldman and her communist compatriots Mikke Pierson and Karen Farrer developed politically-driven homeless refugee encampments throughout the area with their demand to Lost Hills Sheriff Station to stand down on vagrancy. This is all designed to further promote a revenue-generating “shelter” plan. Residents simply do not understand why there are any homeless; their wishes to rehabilitate these people elsewhere are ignored.
New laws, ideas, zoning changes or plans that should normally require a ballot or vote, are shoved down resident’s throats with no intuition on how it affects anyone long term. We will remember Jefferson Wagner as the one council from the last term who spoke out against the city's reluctance to deal with the RV problem. At the end of Jefferson Wagner’s term as Council, he presented a sworn affidavit stating that several people within the City accepted bribes to approve zoning changes and other political, government funded plans.
LA County Board of Supervisors sat back in homeless committee meetings for years, waiting for the numbers to grow so they may force this upon ALL beach towns. They want you to take your family elsewhere, go away and let the homeless take over public parks and highway shoulders, dumping raw sewage in the ocean. The families who donated areas like Legacy Park are absolutely disgusted when they see the lands now turned into POLITICAL REFUGEE ENCAMPMENTS.
Now, “advocates” are working with the LA County Board of Supervisors, to “quasi-privatize” the Bluffs, Legacy Park, the Library, Zuma Beach, and any public property they can get their hands on. Rather than build affordable housing in lower-tax areas, they want to ruin ALL of the high-income and high-tax areas by planting vagrants on public property. They fund their charities with the tax revenue from businesses who struggle to deal with homeless crimes like trespassing, theft, and lack of prosecution power.
There is no doubt that the Board of Supervisors’ intention this entire time was to force vagrancy upon Malibu to in order to deal with LA County’s problems. By ways of a privately run “winter bus” program, they have literally flooded the area with homeless. The bus is run by First to Serve, a charity which applauds itself as funded and backed by the Board of Supervisors. They advertise the bus in a confusing way, stating that the bus drops shelter residents off at 6:30AM in Malibu for lunch and dinner, returning them to West LA in the evening.
How many people will get back on this bus after spending the entire day getting high at the beach, breaking into BMWs, and stealing mail? Not ONE person gets back on this bus, because the operators of a charity known as CART promise them to feed them day after day with the city’s permission. Why would anyone leave?
“Advocates” also call themselves “environmentalists,” yet they allow vagrancy, filth, encampment fires to flourish, as well as toxic sewage from RV’s dumped straight into canyons and beaches. They believe that libraries, community centers, police and fire stations are not highest-and-best-use from a real estate perspective and would be much better utilized if repurposed for homeless housing.
If you are not privy to any of the meetings held about Malibu’s homeless agenda, or the chaotic plans in Venice, “advocates” threaten councils, alluding to notions that “New DA will not enforce any prosecutions of crimes if we do not cooperate and put a shelter in.”

“Advocates” suggest Malibu should simultaneously appoint a DA liaison when they launch the shelter. They are weaponizing the new DA, saying Malibu will have no public safety or prosecutorial power unless we do so.
California leftist officials literally hate anyone who earns their own money. They dump problems of neighboring cities anywhere they can, until residents beg them to make the issues stop. And they promise they will only feed the vagrants who accept their "ASL" (alternative sleeping location). Lucky you, laws will be enforced only after they launch an "ASL?"
The majority of unsuspecting residents do not realize that ALL of these “shelter” and “safe parking” actions are already being done so, informally. When the City of Malibu allowed CART to re-launch their chaotic meals, playing hopscotch around town at the Malibu Library, at Zuma Beach, and behind the Post Office on Malibu Road, this was ALL to cater to vagrants they provided tarps and tents to. Your Mercedes WILL be ticketed, but the vagrants are allowed to park indefinitely on the beach, canyon roads, and Pacific Coast Highway. Vagrants who camp out with knives, drugs, crow bars, ladders, and stolen property, are welcomed to Malibu.
When asked about any of the bussing, meals, and tents, the City’s representatives say “we can’t do anything about it,” “they stopped doing this,” or “CART only feeds people two days a week,” - all outright lies. It SHOULD be common knowledge that Mikke and Karen basically gave CART permission to invite homeless to stay in our town by ways of feeding them nonstop. You have never seen overweight homeless people until you come to Malibu. They do not need free food. All this does is provide an opportunity for them to use their food stamps to trade for drugs.
Obviously, Paul Davis of BlackRock is pushing for a shelter in hopes to receive a significant amount of money through Measure H, or whatever he can snake from measure H into a charity he plans to start. I have never known him to make any efforts to help someone get off the streets. He even told me on the phone, “the New DA may not enforce charges if we don’t open a shelter.” This is a total scam and a money shake-down.
IF WE WERE SMART, Malibu would stop feeding people, shut down Martin Sheen’s failed/abandoned Labor Exchange now, and set an ordinance in place to reduce our risk of fires and crime. Martin Sheen stopped funding the Labor Exchange when he realized it was drawing a crowd of people looking for alcohol and drugs instead of work. WHY is the City of Malibu paying $25,000 a year to Labor Exchange, when that could go toward housing someone?
Local churches are no longer involved in feeding homeless. They respected the wishes of the community, and realized, it is no coincidence that literally five houses would be broken into on the same street after the dinners. Talk about insanity.
The cost of a shelter WILL be very heavy for Malibu, insurance will skyrocket and property values will tank. Violent prisoners are being released and we do not want them. This is a substantial change in use and nature of Malibu. It must be placed on a special ballot and be voted on by the citizens of Malibu. Not decided by three people who have no vested interest in Malibu. This is a very dangerous issue for people who pay taxes, raise children, or have friends and family here. This is NOT for a bunch of political hacks to decide. It must be placed on a ballot and voted on.
The error of this thinking will lead Malibu to become just like Venice, which is a mess.
The entire state of California is a lawless free-for-all. This is why our priority should be a police station first. We once had a substation for the Highway Patrol and our own police force. Why can’t we now?
I personally watched the Civic Center area become so unsafe in a matter of just five years that I have no plans to return to that area of Malibu. There are nonstop fires, assaults, and dead bodies found. In 2019, a Pepperdine student was assaulted in her condo. Negligent Lost Hills Sheriff Station waited nine days until locals began to push their own manhunt. A violent homeless felon was arrested during a sting operation set up with a local who had previously hired him.
Bearing in mind that we waited 21 months for a fire rebuild permit, it is disgusting to think that Wagner discovered bribes allowing Woosley Fire rebuilds to sweep through the permit process and jump the line. YOU are not allowed to build your house without their permission, but if you are homeless or a government official, there are no laws for you.
Has anyone started to wonder why the CDC wants to extend an eviction moratorium, but they do not want to house our most vulnerable – the homeless?
